The Rodney Sisco Symposium continues to invest in developing transformational leaders by implementing this new program, the Sisco Diversity Intern. Each year a student leader will be identified and selected in the spring time to work alongside the host site planning team as well as the Sisco Symposium Directorate to put on an amazing event.

Here is an overview of the program:

  • The Rodney K. Sisco Symposium Diversity Intern is a unique position offered to a student leader enrolled at the host site/university of the upcoming Symposium.
  • This is an excellent opportunity for a student with an interest in diversity, race and ethnicity issues, special event planning and/or public relations and marketing. Others are certainly welcome.
  • The successful candidate is selected in the Spring (May/June), and the role spans approximately 7 months – Sept to March up to the Symposium event.
  • Diversity Intern reports directly to Host Site Leadership and Executive Director of The Symposium and receives a stipend of $1500.

We invite you to partner with us and invest in world changers by donating to help fund this new program!

Welcome to our 2022-2023 Diversity Interns, Dahiana Padilla, Saturnico (Saturn) Macias and Karla Martinez.

We are excited to have these 3 amazing student leaders come alongside both the Sisco Symposium Directorate and the George Fox University Planning team to creatively help make the 2023 Symposium the best ever!!
